Outlook 2003 Double Personal Folders

Emmanuel

Hi,

I have the following problem with Microsoft Outlook 2003:

On the "Folder List" two (2) "Personal Folders" appear. One with the
"Outlook Today" icon an one with the "Folders" icon.

The two "Personal Folders" seem to be a pointer to the same outlook data.

How can I get rid of the second "Personal Folders" ?

Thank you
Emmanuel

Try going to the mail applet in the control panel, then data files and see
if you have the same PST file listed twice. If you don't, then you will
need to create a new mail profile (don't copy the existing one).

If Neo's suggestion

"Try going to the mail applet in the control panel, then data files and see

does not work, please try first to delete the double Personal Folder
with [1].
Click on "Download der Freeware" and save the file to your harddisk.
Start the exe-file and select your profile under "Auswahl des Profils".
Then click the Button "Doppelte Anzeige beheben". After this restart
Outlook and check if the double Personal Folder is deleted. If this
where not succesful you have to create a new profile.

Thank you Christian,

Your utility solved my problem.

Since I do not speak German and the utility is so useful it would be nice if
you could provide the community with an English version...

Thank you very much again

Emmanuel

Fine ;-)

There is no english version of this tool. But I think that a user
needn't speak german to use this tool - there are only two steps! ;-)

I just wrote an E-Mail to the developer of the tool in which I asked him
if it's possible to provide the tool in english language. If I get
answer, I will post it here.

I received an answer! The deloveper said that it will be no problem to
provide this tool in english language. I will post here again when the
english version is available.
