Outlook 2003 Disappears

We are experiencing issues where when sending a message, outlook totally
vanishes with no trace. Nothing in the eventlog and the no trace of the
message you were sending in the drafts or sent items and no delivery.

It is very sporatic and hard to track down to specific events.

Anyone else experiencing this? If so have you noticed a pattern or found a
fix?

What do you mean with "Outlook totally vanishes with no trace"?
You mean it closes or it's actually removed from your system?

Assuming the first; it sounds like an issue with one of your addins.
Considering it happens at the Send command makes me think you have a virus
scanner that integrates with Outlook. Disable this integration and try
again.

I mean is "disappears" as in Poof - Gone.

If you were drafting a message, or hit send on the message, there is no
trace of it in your drafts, sent items etc and is not delivered.

We quite a few plug -ins including Mcafee. Others include Workshare,
Hummingbird and Exchange.

We'll start with the McAfee one and see how we go.
