Outlook 2003 crash - PGP Plug in

Guest

Has anyony had a problem with the PRG plug-in causing Outlook to crash when
certain emails are selected? After upgrading to 2003 I began experiencing
Outlook crashes when I selected specific emails. I was able to isolate the
problem to the PGP plug-in (PGP V7.0.3).

The event log entry that's either right before (or right after - I forget
which) this entry would be of more interest - it should have a "fault
bucket" number in it. Could you post that? I suspect that this is a bug in
the PGP plug-in, but that fault bucket number would help determine if that's
the case.

This most recent bucket hasn't been processed yet (you appear to be the only
person to hit this - or at least to have sent a report), so I can't see
what's going on with it, but the bucket in your previous message clearly
indicates a crash arising from pgpexch.dll, which I assume is the PGP addin.
I'd start by seeing if there is an update of the PGP add-ing.

Jeff,

You may want to look at some of the PGP forums at
http://forums.pgpsupport.com/index.php

It appears there are some issues. I am on PGP V7, we will be upgrading to
V8 later this year. For nor I have disabled the plug-in and my work around
is to encrypt/decrypt in the clipboard.

I take it S/MIME encryption won't work for you? That's built-in. But then
if your recipients can't decrypt it, it does no good...
