P

Puzzled

Using Outlook 2003
I can recieve emails but can not send emails.
Test email sent during set up of email account sends with no problem and no
error messages but will not send any other emails created.
Any suggestions?

What happens when you try to send? Does your email go to the Outbox? Do
you get any error messages sending an email versus sending a test message?

When I send an email it acts normal, it goes through all the steps as if it
were working properly and the email goes to the sent folder. The email is not
sitting in the outbox. There are no error messages on either the test email
or the regular emails.
I am using an AT&T web mail service with the extension sbcglobal.net. I have
used this extension with my own outlook and have had no problem in the past.

I just installed Office 2003, could this be an update problem?

Are you running an AntiVirus application setup to scan your email? Also,
there have been some port changes:

AT&T Yahoo! Email Settings Change for POP and SMTP (e.g., Outlook/Outlook
Express)

I am not running any AV program to scan emails.
I have all the new port information correct.
I have the exact same set up on a different computer in the office using the
same mail server extension and it works without a hitch.
I have even tried to use a different mail server for only outgoing mail,
which works but you have to type in the user name and password everytime you
send the test email for both incoming and outgoing mail.
Any other suggestions?

When I send an email it acts normal, it goes through all the steps as if
it
were working properly and the email goes to the sent folder.

Then it's Yahoo's problem, since a message won't transfer to Sent Items
unless the receiving server has accepted it.
