Outlook 2003 AutoComplete feature

Can anyone tell me why when I use the AutoComplete feature it resolves
two different names i.e.
Type "J"

John Smith <JDoe>

In ADSI I change the Legacy-Exchange-DN and msExchADCGlobal From JDoe
to John Smith. That didn't fix the problem.

Can anyone tell me why this happened and where to fix it?

Exchange 2000 SP3 Mixed mode

correction. it's the user alias - which for exchange happens to get it
delivered to the right mailbox. <g>
