Outlook 2003 and Windows Explorer

Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 has been set as the default email programme
(I'm using XP prof. as OS).
However within Windows Explorer, the function "Send to mail recipient" will
open Outlook Express (OE).
How can I disable OE and enable Outlook instead within WindowsExplorer?
Thank you very much in advance for your help.

What is displayed in the E-mail field of Internet Explorer's Tools>Internet
Options>Programs?

Thanks Brian, much appreciated you taking time off to reply. The
Email program is indeed Microsoft Office Outlook, same for calendar
and contact list. Only for Newsgroup is the default OE. Hope you
have a solution for me.

Open %UserProfile%\SendTo and examine the "Mail Recipient" icon. Is it's
type "MAPIMAIL File"?

Thanks once again for your much appreciated cooperation. Being ill at ease
with anything Registry, did find a few entries %userprofile%\sendto, but then
I am at a loss for searching further. Did not observe anything of what you
asked for, where and how should I go about it? Sorry for sounding perhaps
stupid but your advice remains most welcome.

Well, I didn't recommend any to do with the registry, so you shouldn't need
to worry. What I wanted you to do was to open Windows Explorer, enter
"%UserProfile%\SendTo" in the address field and click Go. You should then
see the list of items that appear in the Send To context menu. One of them
should be "Mail Recipient". Right-click it and choose Properties. Is it a
"MAPIFILE File"?

So where do we go from here? Appreciate your efforts and time, really do!

WAW! yes indeed it is MAPIMAIL File!

Well, I played around a while and did some registry fishing, but I can't
find a good suggestion, I'm afraid. The Send To entry is what it should be.
Sorry.
