Hello,
No Microsoft guy is willing to step in and answer my question?
I am having problems sending a read receipt when someone asks for one.
The problem is that the application (Outlook 2003 on XP Prof SP2) is trying
to
send a receipt but not using the email address people used to send the email
"TO".
The first time I installed Office 2003 Prof when someone asked for a read
receipt
I set it up so I can confirm whether I want to send a receipt or not.
When I choose to send a "response" the people that suppose to receive it
said it
did not arrive. Because since "read receipts" have become invisible to
Microsoft
for some reason, I can not confirm what really happened.
Because it was a new install, I reformatted the drive and reinstalled
everything.
Now I get this problem.
Let's recap:
Someone is sending an email to (e-mail address removed) and ask for a
response;
I click YES and Outlook is trying to send something (not visible in the
Outbox) using (e-mail address removed)
which is also set up in my email accounts. This last account is not set
up to send emails, just to receive (I use a dead end outgoing SMTP)
Using OutlookSpy I can see that this is the receipt I just let go but
because is using a wrong email address I can not let it pass through.
Can someone at Microsoft look into this matter please ?
Now I am using OutlookSpy to remove the "response" from the OutBox and this
is just not fair!
I don't want to go back to Outlook Express, because I want to use what I
paid for!
Thanks
