Outlook 2003 and Norton Internet Security 2004

I've just installed Norton Internet Security 2004 and it is interfering with
outgoing e-mails in Outlook 2003. Messages get put in the Outbox and then
change from the Bold Italicised ready to send messages into nornal text
headed messages as if I'd just edited the e-mail and selected Save instead
of Send.

I can usually find the solution to these problems by switching things off
(which I've done), but this one's got me baffled.

Any ideas before I remove NIS.
