Outlook 2003 and BCM Error

B

Bill Cantrell

I am getting error when start outlook 2003 after installing Business Contact
Manager...

Popup Box - Business Contact Manager
"Item has already been added. Key in dictionary 00000000E25..."

Click Ok and BCM crashes, I still have Outlook 2003 running, the BCM forms
all work... but no BCM tool bars or functionality work...

I have uninstalled Outlook, BCM, deleted files, tried 5-6 different times...
still same error...

Thanks in advance

Outlook is 2003 (11.5608.5606) and BCM is 2003 (Beta 2 Technical Refresh)

It was installed and working at one point... then had problem with Outlook
hanging at various times... did reload... Uninstalled BCD and deleted all
the BCM/SQL data files

Is the key in dictionary error tied to a key (leftover or created) in the
*.PST file that might be in conflict with the new BCM database?

Thanks
Bill

As a note... BCM is/was great while it was working...

The problems are happening because you're running a RTM (released) version
of Outlook and a Beta version of BCM. Wait until the RTM version of BCM
comes out (next week) and then upgrade the BCM to that version. Beta
products don't play nicely along side RTM products.
