Outlook 2002

When I click on Outlook, I get the following error
message:

"Unable to open your default e-mail folder. The .DLL
file for the information service could not be found. MAPI
was unable to load the information service PSTPRX.DLL.
Be sure the service is correctly installed and
configured."

After the I click the O.K. button on the message, I get
the following message:

"Would you like to open your default file system folder
instead?"

After Outlook opens, when I attempt to open one of the
Outlook Short folders, the following appears on the
screen:

"Unable to display the folder. Microsoft Outlook could
not access the specified folder location. The .DLL file
for the information service could not be found. MAPI was
unable to load the information service PSTPRX.DLL. Be
sure the service is correctly installed and configured."

There were no system changes prior to this problem.

Any idea how to resolve this problem (short of a re-
installation)?

Hi

I am getting exactly the same message. The stupid thing is that there are
three 'users' on the pc (running XP Home) including myself and the other two
can access Outlook with no problem at all. I've uninstalled it and
reinstalled it a dozen times but it makes no difference. If I create a new
'user' account for myself then Outlook opens just fine, but then I'd have to
redo everything I've personalised on my original user account and as I've
done so much, I can't bear the thought of it. Does anybody have any ideas,
please?

Jackie
