Did this start recently or has it always been that way? Check in Windows
Explorer to ensure you have an application associated with .jpgs so you can
open them. Also, can you save the .jpg to your desktop and open?
Thanks for the advice, after looking at other similar things I discovered
that I had to go to control panel, folder options and change the program
associated with jpg files. It was trying to open with an old software from an
old digital camera I had that had been uninstalled.
