Does anyone know if there is a way natively (or third party utility) to
shade text with colors in Outlook Tasks items? I've been struggling for
months now to do this, searched the web, slipstick systems searches, etc -
no luck.

Shade text where, exactly? In the Task List or in the Task item itself?

Other than changing your Windows system colors, I don't know of any way to do
that. Maybe someone else will. Sorry...
