Hi

I occassionally get forwarded messages, these messages
end up in the form *.msg. Outlook theoretically is set up
to open such files (via folder options, etc) but will
not. Note we run other computers with Outlook 2002 & they
have no problems, it is just one particular computer. How
do we fix this?

Are they being send from Outlook 2002 clients as well?

No, they are not. They are coming from people using other
clients, e.g., The Bat!. If we forward them from the
computer having problems to another using Outlook, they
open fine. I have even tried forwarding the messages back
to itself (if this makes sense), but this doesn't work
either.

Worked out what was happening. The user having the
problem was actually running Outlokk via ACT6. It is ACT
that is unable to cope with the msg files & not Outlook.
This is obviously worth taking note of for future.
