Greetings to all;
I have the following Application Error for Outlook from
System Info:
Event Application Failure
Application outlook.exe
Version 10.0.6626.0
Module ole32.dll
Module Version 5.1.2600.1263
Offset 00035cd6
Date 3/23/2004 2:09:44 PM

1) Is it possible to reinstall Outlook from my Office CD
or should I attempt to Add/Remove, then downlod it from MS
Downloads?
Also...
1) I get an error when attempting to open a new message
w/ Word as my edditor stating that "another application is
attempting to access my address book", this is stopped
only when I turn off using Word as my editor. Apparently
this is by design based on Microsoft Knowledge Base
Articles (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?
scid=kb;EN-US;263080) AND
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-
US;263073)?! BUT, I would still like to be able to use
Word as my editor, in the past this has never been a
problem.
2) I have all of my addresses in Contacts, but they do
not display in my Address Book. I have looked in the Help
files but cannot find steps to display my Contacts in my
Address Book, all that shows up is Personal Address Book
in the "Show names from the:" field. When I do a search
for any *.pab file, none are found?! When I go to
Contact's Properties, all the fields are disabled on the
Office Address Book tab.
3) Finally, and this probaly related to the Application
Error, if I click on Send/Receive, I get the following
warning diaolog box stating "The operation failed. An
object could not be found.".

Thanks in advance for your consideration of this issue and
I hope to hear from you all soon. Have a nice day.
Blees You,
Sixbells

1) no idea - but outlook isn't on ms downloads :)
1) http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2002sp3.htm#problems has a list of
applications known to trigger the warning and workarounds or fixes.
2) tools, accounts, view or change address books. remove the OAB service,
restart outlook. Add it back. Alternate method: make a new profile.
3) may be related to #2's missing address book. if not, repost after fixing
the address book.

Thanks, I was able clear up the Contacts issue!

According to the wesite you referenced, Office XP SP-3
should clear up the other problems, but I have already
installed all the updates avaialable to Office as well
Windows with No Joy! I have two Outlook Application
Errors now:

Event Application Failure
Application outlook.exe
Version 10.0.6626.0
Module ole32.dll
Module Version 5.1.2600.1263
Offset 00035cd6
Date 3/23/2004 2:09:44 PM

Event Application Failure
Application outlook.exe
Version 10.0.6626.0
Module ntdll.dll
Module Version 5.1.2600.1217
Offset 00007d85
Date 3/25/2004 11:27:05 AM

How do I uninstall the Office XP SP-3 Update?? Or how do
I uninstall Office and start over??

BTW: Thanks for your help so far! :-)
