Outlook 2002 Recall Message

Can anyone tell me exactly how the recall message option in Outlook 2002
works and how to use it? I recently sent a very confidential email to the
wrong recipiant and tried to recall the message after I figured out what
happened. but it did not work. The recipiant still received the message.
Also, I bcc myself on all emails, and on this said email, I received a
message indicating that the sender wanted to recall this message - is this
okay???? (not in those exact words, but you get the idea).
 
This only works if you & the receiver are on an Exchange Server and the
message has not been opened by the recipient. Help has the info.
