Outlook 2002 Random Deletions From Address Book

I have a client that has called me on several occassions telling me about her
Outlook Address Book and how some of her contacts are randomly deleted. I
figured it was probably user error, but she swears she is not doing anything
wrong.

The Problem:
Contacts and Groups of Contacts are being randomly deleted from her address
book. She doesn't recieve any error messages. She is able to add, edit and
delete from the address book with no problems - however, on occassion,
Contacts and Groups are randomly deleted.

The system is Windows XP Pro - Service Pack 2. It also runs Norton
Anti-virus. We also use Spybot, Spysweeper, Microsoft Anti-spyware, Adaware -
to clean any spyware.

I have searched for people experiencing similar issues, but have not found
anyone.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't understand your question.
Data is never entered in the Outlook address book. The OAB is just a view of
electronic addresses contained in the Contacts Folder. It was never intended
for data entry or manipulation.
All data is entered in the Contacts Folder.

Sorry, Maybe I wasn't clear about the problem.
Electronic Email address and groups of Electronic email address are randomly
deleted from the contacts folder.

Not a known issue.
From your earlier description I suspect there is more to this story. To
troubleshoot we would need a more accurate description as to just how the
data is entered and then which data then goes missing for no reason.

Russ,
Thank you. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a known issue and that there
wasn't an easy fix. I think it will be hard to get the accurate description,
becasue the problem was described to me as random. I will ask my client to
pay close attention and make some notes to gather more information. If I get
some more specific information, then I will post again. Thanks Again.

I am having a similar problem in Outlook 2003. After a clean install of
Windows XP and a configuration of Outlook 2003 I setup the user and a few
days later they came back and said a few contacts were missing!?!?!

I made a new thread bout my issue.
