Outlook 2002 keeps on running . . .

Why does OUTLOOK.EXE keep running as a process after Outlook 2002 has been
shut down?
 
Hi Mister Shed,
Outlook can carry on running for serveral reasons, usually because another
dependant application requires it to. A dependant application could be a
pocket PC or Palm computer desktop synchroniser, or it could be just windows
messenger. Do you have a pocket PC or a palm computer connected? Also have
you installed the latest service pack for Outlook 2002? (SP2).
