I'm not aware of any virus that attacks subfolders in Outlook, but that doesn't
mean it can't happen. Do you have an anti-virus app installed and operating on
your system? If so, is it up-to-date and have you recently run a full system
scan?
If no joy, another approach would be run the Inbox Repair Tool that is supplied
with Outlook. See this link for more info:

If still no joy, try running the Detect and Repair utility. It's accessed from
the Help menu in Outlook.
