Outlook 2002 Contacts Issue

Pam

When typing a contact in Outlook 2002, I type in Mark
Elkin and then click on the Name button, it will say that
the first name is Elkin and the last name is Mark. If I
type: Elkin, Mark then click on Name button, it has it
right. If I type Elkin, Mr. & Mrs. Mark and click on the
name button it is all in the right place. If at the
beginning of a new address, I click Name button without
typing anything in and fill in Mr. & Mrs. then Mark
beside first name and Elkin beside last name, when I click
out of that box in the space for the name it will say.
Mr. & Mrs. Elkin Mark. If I click on the name button it
is still typed all in the right place.

So the only way right now, I get the name to display right
in the blank space and/or under the name button, I type
Elkin, Mr. & Mrs. Mark As long as I use a comma it all
goes in the right place.

Why is this happening and how can it be corrected?

Examine the settings you specified for the Full Name field.
Tools > Options > Preferences > Contact Options...
