Outlook 2002 BCC Problem

Hi,
When I send an email using BCC, the email is not received by that recipient
(have tested this with mulitple email addresses). The email is received if
CC and normal To options are used, it's just not working with the BCC.
As far as I know, all security settings are normal default settings.

Anyone have any ideas?

Try sending one to yourself via Bcc.

If successful, maybe your recipients have SPAM filters in place at their server
or in their client app that is deleting the e-mail if it's not addressed to
them.

Hope this helps,

When you send using the Bcc field, do you have any address in the To or Cc
fields?

| Unfortunately, I've already tried this with no luck.

Genius! I sent an email using only the BCC (no To or CC options) and it
worked like a charm. Now why didn't I think of that?

Any ideas why that would happen? Seems pretty odd to me.

Thanks very much for your help,
Lara

As Newt said, the most likely cause is that the recipient's mail server is
blocking mails where there are no addresses n the To or Cc fields.

So does anyone actually now know why we cannot use the BCC in Outlook
2000 Edition?. I cannot seem to get anywhere with it and the posts on
here don't actually give any proper defining advice............"How do
I send a BCC EMAIL?"..........Response should read: "You must click
____ then ______ and then hit send" Thankyou!!!!

When you click the To button, you should also see the To, Cc, and Bcc
fields. You should also be able to click View>Bcc Field while in the Compse
window.
