Outlook 2002 Autocomplete Default

Why would the e-mail address autocomplete default to the
fax number if the user is not specifically going into the
address list and selecting the wrong entry?
 
List the steps by which you are entering this address. Autocomplete will
offer only addresses to which messages have been sent previously.
