Outlook 2002 Attachements not getting to my contacts.

After re formatting I have a problem with Outlook 2002......when I send
attachements, half the time they get turned into a .txt file like
ATT00541.txt for example. Other times the attachements just are not there at
all. Yet sometimes they go though. My gut tells me its McAfee (I installed
Virusscan Plus 2007) but I have everything set to let emails go out freely so
I'm stumped and not having fun anymore.

Any ideas?

Not sure what you mean. You mean with McAfee?

Yes, McAfee installs an add-in to integrate with Outlook so you'll be having
some McAfee functionality in Outlook. Uninstall this add-in (see McAfee's
documentation on how to do that) and try again.

Thanks. Sorry about reposting, just a little anxious. After thinking about
the problem on the weekend I did some tests. I use Act! email v.9 as a
contact database and text editor for email and email is sent and recieved
through Outlook. After several tests Sunday, I determined that it is
something with Act! that corrupts the outgoing message attachements. They
appear fine in the Outlook sent folder, the attachement is there and can be
opened, but the recipient gets the .txt garbage. When I send attachements
using Outlook by itself everthing is fine.
I have taken this problem to Act! tech support. Thank you for your propmpt
response.
