Outlook 2000

Hello,

I have a strange problem. I create a new Personal Folder File (*.pst).

And then, I create a sub folder - Appointment folder for that newly created
PST as a child folder of the "Personal Folders"

Strange thing is when I click on that appointment folder, Outlook will
always
automatically create a Tasks folders named "Tasks" for my PST, same level as
the Appointment folder I created. And the best part is the "Tasks" folder
can not be deleted. Pop up a error message box

"Tasks" is a special folder. Special folders cannot be deleted.

when I try to delete it.

How to make Outlook 2000 not to automatically create the task folder when I
click on the appointment folder?

please help..

thanks.

Sorry, I am not sure if it is my Outlook Express problem. (I am using
Outlook Express to retrieve the newsgroup reply)

I can't seem to find the answer that you mentioned and I don't intend to
multipost if answer already there.
It does not appear in my Outlook Express.

Could you provide the URL or to paste the answer here instead.

thank you.

Ok,

I found your answer via google. thank you for replying.

This is normal behavior for Outlook, even Outlook 2003, despite what you
say. The default delivery location will ALWAYS have a basic set of
folders, including Inbox, Outbox, Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, Notes, Sent
Items, Journal, Drafts, Deleted Items and for OL 2003, Junk E-mail. Those
folders cannot be deleted. If you aren't seeing it in another Outlook,
then it's because the PST in question is not the delivery location.

Brian TillmanThe question is that I already have a default delivery
location which should be in the "Outlook Today - [Personal Folders]" I am
creating a secondary PST.How do I specify delivery location manually?
Those folders cannot be deleted. If you aren't seeing it in another
Outlook, then it's because the PST in question is not the delivery
location.I am very sure it only happen in Outlook 2000. The secondary
PST(non default delivery location) appointment folder which automatically
creates the special task folder problem. I have tested in 2003, no such
problem.
thanks.
