Outlook 2000 won't start after uninstalling Outlook 2007

For the last several months I have been running Outlook 2007 on a stand-alone
basis (not Exchange Server). I have removed Outlook 2007 on my computer and
have installed Outlook 2000. The install seems to go fine but when I try to
start Outlook I receive a 'Microsft has encountered a problem and needs to
close.'

I have checked my user accounts and all sems fine. I have also deleted my
user account and walked through the steps of recreating the user account.

I continue to encounter the same problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

Seems a bit strange to go from Outlook 2007 to OL2k
What o/s are you installing OL2k on?

Even more confused, you now say going back to Outlook 2007
Exactly which version of Outlook are you using?
