Outlook 2000 Tasks in Public Folder don't go red when overdue

N

Nicola

Hi,

I have a mixture of Exchange 2000 and 2003 with most clients still on
Outlook 2000. I have created a public folder for a colleague and they
have been merrily putting tasks in for about 3 months.

She has just noticed that the tasks aren't turning red when they have
gone overdue. There are a limited number of users with editor access
and only 3 with owner access.

I have checked her Outlook settings and she has it set under Tools,
Options, Task Options to turn them red when overdue but it is just not
happening.

I do have other task public folders set up around the same time that
are showing overdue tasks in red.

Does anyone have any ideas, please let me know.

Thanks
Nicola

Did you check the automatic formatting settings for the current view? That's what governs the appearance of the items.

Hi Sue,

I have checked the automatic formatting and it says that overdue tasks
should be in red text.

I have looked at the same public folder on my computer which is running
Outlook 2003 and the overdue tasks are in red as they should be so it
definately points to something on her setup on her computer.

Any other ideas that I can look at?

Thanks
Nicola

Are you looking at the folder through Public Folders\Favorites or Public Folders\All Folders?

Also note: The newsgroup interface you are using apparently does not quote earlier messages in the thread, making your latest message so short on detail that you risk not getting the answer you're looking for. Please take the time to quote enough of the original message that we can understand what you asked about.

Hi Sue,
I am looking at the public folder through Pbluc Folders\All Folders and
in outlook 2003 the tasks show in red but in outlook 2000 they don't.
Thanks Nicola

What happens in Outlook 2000 if you put the folder in Favorites? (I don't have OL2000 handy right now). Does the default Tasks folder in OL2000 color things as you want?

Hi Sue,

Just to let you know that this is now fine, it appears she did have
filtering on even though I did check the automtic formatting.

Thanks for your all your help
Nicola
