Outlook 2000 Professional TCP/IP Problem - Unable to receive email

Interesting to know that their are others who are having simular problems
with other versions of Outlook that are unable to receive emails.

Here is my situation with MS Windows 2000 Outlook Professional. This problem
started 20 days ago. Once during this time frame I have received email. I
have a domain through Godaddy.com and internet service through Cox
Communications and my settings from both providers have been setup correctly
for 3 years with no problems. I have deleted the accounts and then set the
accounts and settings back, shut down my entire computer system and rebooted
and the same problem still exists. Each day the computer checks for updates,
runs norton antivirus and I run spybot and adaware as well without any issues.

With Outlook 2000 I click on tools, send/receive, my domain to receive
email. Then a seperate box opens saying downloading mail from my domain -
connecting to server, this takes 10-20 secs which is much longer then the
norm. Then it gives me an error message and it reads like this:

"The TCP/IP connection was unexpectedly terminated by the server. Acct:
mail.mydomain.com; Pop 3 Server: mail.mydomain.com Error Number 0x800ccc0f)".

I spoke with GoDaddy.com about my techinical issues and explained that all
my settings are correct and I gave them this error above. They mentioned it
was Cox Communication port problem and that I should call them to findout
more info. I have spoken with Cox and they support only Outlook Express not
Outlook. Cox tech support ran a test to check the speed of the internet
connection and the port and the port works, the internet connection speed was
good.

I'm a bit frustrated any ideas on what to do, an explaination and or
questions to ask to help troubleshoot and gain back the ability to receive
our company email. Note I can send out email and I do receive current company
email in our web based email account with domain/host provider and alternate
hotmail account.
