Outlook 2000 preview pane font size too small

Does anybody know how to adjust the font size in the preview pane? I know it
is NOT Tools->options->mail format (that controls outgoing email). I know it
is NOT Fonts under Tools->options->mail format because that can only control
reply/forward/reading plain text (what about html or rich text). I have
tried messing with custom views and that is NOT it either. These Outlook
clients are using word as their editor. It is NOT that either. I want all
messages to appear in a size my clients are able to see without eye strain.
Something has changed, but I haven't a clue. Adjusting the windows
appearance of fonts does not help either.
