Outlook 2000 instances

Philip Lane

Is it possible to run 1 instance of outlook that picks up both emails via
the exchange server and emails from a web based email server (i.e hotmail).
If so how is this done.

I am running Outlook 2000 on Windows XP, server is running Windows NT4 and
Exchange server 5.5. Internet access is via LAN.

Thanks

Phil

Not really...Outlook 2000 doesn't support HTTP mail at all, so you'd need to
use a workaround (which only works in Internet Mail Only mode, and you'd be
using Corporate/Workgroup mode for the Exchange functions to work properly),
or use a 3rd party "popper" program to get your Hotmail via POP3. Also,
having Exchange and Internet mail in the same profile is not supported in
Outlook 2000 and earlier.
