outlook 2000 duplicate Emails

I have an issue where OL2000 (Sp3) connects to Linux mail servers and every
now and then a message will have a duplicate, when you click on the second
duplicate it will not let you see it in the preview pane, if you click on the
first message the second one will disappear. Connecting to Sendmail and
courier mail servers through imap. Any help would be very
appreciated....thanks
