Outlook '03 running very slow....using lots of resources??

Lately, ever since I added McAfee (which I may change to AVG) Outlook 03 has been much slower and using lots of resources in Task Manager- all deleted e-mails are gone through Recycle Bin and pics are in folders. What else can be done to speed things up the way they were 2 weeks ago ?

I'm not computer saavy, so please explain fully- thanks !
 
Disable McAfee's integration with Outlook. See the McAfee documentation on
how to do that properly.
