Outloo 2007 Sharing Contacts-Activities Pane

I have been using Outlook 2007 for about 3 weeks and I am trying to test the
functionality of the contacts. I want to basically create journal entries
for various contacts and share those contacts out, and have those contact
activity entries available to be updated.

Further explanation
1. I create a contact, then I add permissions to select users to view my
mailbox, contacts, journals, notes, and tasks.
2. With the my journal I add a entry and select to apply the entry to my
contact.
3. I open up my contact and select activities, and view my journal entry.
4. The user with permissions to my shared contacts, opens the same contact,
but does not see the journal entry in the contacts activity pane.

Question: Why can't users with permissions to a shared contact, view the
updated activities of that contact.

THis is normal behavior. You would have to create a new activities group to show just your Journal folder. Another user can see only one folder at a time in the Activities view (and even then, I'm not sure how well it would work). The same holds true for public folders.

Sue,

Well if I want peopel to record any calls that they make for a contact,
could i just share out my contacts list, and have them make notes in the
notes section, is there a limit on the number of characters that section of
the general detail of a contact can hold? I really appreciate the help.

The notes area is pretty much unlimited. If it gets unwieldly, you can always move older information to an attachment.
