Outllook 2007 Calendar Setting incorrect start time

N

netcentral

When I receive a request for an appointment and click on the accept button in
Outlook 2007 it sets the start time of the calendar item as the time when i
click on the accept button. The description shows the correct times but on
the calendar view it appears the the start time was the time when I accepted
the appointment. Here as an example:
1- I get a request for an appointment with start time: 4/22/09 10:00 AM and
end time: 4/22/09 1:00 PM. When I click on accept it wil set the start time
as the current time such as Start Time: 9:00 AM 4/17/09.

We are running Exchange 2003 and outlook 2007. I cheked time zone etc. It
seems to be set corrctly. We have installed all the service packs and
hotfixes we can find. PLease help.

Hi I tried resetting the view but that did not do anything. I also checked if
the start and end time fields are mapped correctly and they are. For some
reason outlook is putting the recieve time on the message as the start time
of the calendar item. ANy other suggestions?

That usually indicates a bad view and occasionally corrupt forms cache.

Hi I tried clearing the forms cache as per your instruction and it did not
solve the problem. I thin the incorrect start time and durartion is being
recorded when I accept the appointment. I guess the last option is re-install
outlook?

reinstall rarely fixes anything. Did you also reset the view?
http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/resetview.htm - the second method
should be sufficient.
