I've tried this on 3 machine and every time the merge hangs and crashes.
I've done hundreds of them so it's not me it's Office 2007 Outlook/Word.

Uninstalled Office 2007 on the 3rd machine installed Office 2003 and the
merge ran like a charm????

MS please take a look and post a solution.

Thanx

Yeah, right.
Start with precise steps to repro. You have provided no information
whatsoever.
"MS" does not monitor these groups.

Russ:

Quality "troll" reply. Come on dude not everyone in these groups are
newbies. Trust me when I say I've done hundreds of merges. The merge hangs
and crashes. The exact same process and data done in Office 2003 runs like a
top.

You've got to admit that Outlook 2007 has issue, this is just another one.

Too bad MS does not monitor these groups they might get a little insite as
to the problems the end users are running into.

Peace

Actually, no. Mail merge works the same in Outlook 2007 as in Outlook 2003.
This is end user error, not Outlook 2007. Until you state what you are
doing, we have no idea what you are doing wrong. Most likely you migrated
data incorrectly to the new installation so that the merge engine cannot
access it.

I'm not going to prolong this thing. Believe me or not that's up to you!
I've been working with MS products for years, got a few Certs. to show for it
also.

As an so called MVP you really need to work on your people skills dude.

I wish you luck and peace.

Thanx

Forgive me, but I'm not quite sure why you posted here. If you wanted help
with your mail merge it is your obligation to post the necessary information
to permit someone to troubleshoot. Simply posting a hasty, unsupported
assumption to an unmonitored newsgroup doesn't serve any purpose and just
wastes our time trying to figure out what the actual problem is. Have it
your way.
