Hi all. I have received errors of microsoft outlook in my event viewer with
event id 1002(application hang) and 1000(failing module outllib.dll). The
effect i encountered is that outlook will just freeze for a long while before
resuming. I have tried repairing my pst file which is less than 2GB, change
outlook profile, rename outcmd.dat, regsvr32 OLE32.dll but to no avail as
problem still persist. I believe my win xp OS is fine as event viewer only
report problems abt outlook and nothing else. How can i solve this problem?
THks in advance.

What version of Outlook are you using? If Outlook 98/2000, please state if
it is Internet Mail Only or Corporate Workgroup mode. Last but not least,
please post what Office/Outlook service pack you have installed.

I am using outlook 2002 and service pack 2.

The latest service pack for Office XP (Outlook 2002) is service pack 3.
However what i would ask is did you try renaming outllib.dll to outllib.bak
and then doing a detect/repair on Office/Outlook via the Add/Remove programs
applet in the control panel?

I have yet to try that. I will try the suggestion you gave. When i do a
repair, would it require me to load my office cd? As i am now overseas and
did not bring the cd along.

Yes it would.
