Hi all! I have a problem! With Microsoft Office Outlook 2007. I need to
change my OUTGOING Encoding type? It is set to some unknown encoding when I
send a massage with a Cyrillic font. I write a massage in Russian, to Hotmail
(let's say) and he can't read it! Neverless he can not find the right
encoding, by change the encoding of the Browser! I need to change the default
outgoing encoding in Microsoft Outlook 2007. But how? I don't reallly know! I
changed it "Tools>Options>Mail Format, but I don't know what do here, or if
I'm at the right spot at all. HELP please???

In Outlook 2003 it is: Tools | Options | tab Mail Format | click
'International Options' | specify 'Preferred encoding for outgoing
messages'. The most common Cyrillic/Russian encoding is KOI8-R.

If Outlook 2007 is different, try 'encoding' in Help.

In Outlook 2003 one does NOT need to change _default_ encoding each
time s/he needs to send say Greek or Russian or Polish e-mail -
it can be done dynamically for a specific message:

1) Tools/Options - tab "Mail Format" - button "International Settings"
-
UNcheck the box "Auto-select encoding for outgoing messages"

After that, in a message preparation window:

2) Find "Options" in the toolbar that starts with "Send".
There you can specify Encoding of your outgoing message

By the way, next item in that toolbar lets you choose Format of the
message - HTML/Rich Text/Plain Text

Try to find same things in Outlook 7 and please let us know if you did
find them.
