Out of sync error for Age of Mythology Online

This error keeps coming up when playing on-line, can some one help explaine
why and how to stop it happening. Is it because of the fire wall, have been
told that turning off firewall will stop this, but how do I do that? and is
it safe to do that?

operating system is XP with SP2.

Are you using a NAT or is just a modem installed on the machine? What kinda
connection do you have?
