out of range

I just installed a new video card...and it messes up my screen
resolution...it keeps telling me out of range and goes blank i have to log on
in safe mode...I tried trouble shooting this problem and nothing helps..i
tried changing refresh rate but it only has one option so that won't
work...what else can i do to get my computer to boot up in regular mode
without having to take out the video card?

Well, you didn't say in your post, and probably a dumb question, but did
you install the drivers for the new card?

Get to the screen where you can get to Safe Mode, and there choose VGA mode
instead. Once in, reset the video drivers to something your monitor
supports.
