out of office assistant cannot be displayed

I have three machines doing this. when you try to open
the out of office assistant you get "out of office
assistant cannot be displayed the client operation
failed" when you close that window you get " system
resources are critically low. Close some windows" I have
uninstalled and reinstalled, loaded all the updates. It
still won't start. We have Dell form factors running XP
with Office XP 2002. Please reply to (e-mail address removed)
