Out of office assistant advanced rules greyed out

Within the Office Outlook 2003 Out Of Office assistants Advanced features
there is an option to forward only unread messages, but it is greyed out.

Any ideas on how to get it back much appreciated, Thanks

Yes, we are using exchange 5.5 and have roughly 15 users.

I would like to create a rule so thatr only unread new messages are
forwarded to another e-mail address (for downloading on ipaq's)
