Out of memory error

I apologize if this question has been resolved before. I did look through the posts but did not see anything.

Anyway when I install Access 97 onto machines with 1Gig of RAM, Access reports an out of memory error and will not start. When I take the boxes down to 512MB RAM, Access runs normally. Has anyone ever seen this behavoir before and is there a fix other that keeping the machines at 512MB of RAM or upgrading Acess to 2000 or 2003?

Hi,

Access 97 will not run on a computer with 1 GB or more of RAM UNLESS you
install the latest JET service pack.
