please help.

Take your pick.

OE 6 does not come with it's own spell check. You need Word or an MS
Office program or you can download a free spell check at one of these
sites.

Spell Checking does not work in OE:

Or:

See if any of this helps

1. OE does not come with a spelling checker. It uses the
spelling checker from
any other 32-bit Microsoft program that has one. Office
4.3 is only a 16
bit program and OE won't use its spelling checker.

2. Check to see if it is turned on O.E. - Tools -
Options - Spelling tab -Settings

3. If XP
The most common problem with WinXP and Office 97 is that
Csapi3T1.dll is
missing from the PROOF folder (C:\Program Files\Common
Files\Microsoft
Shared\PROOF).

You can expand it from CSAPI3T1.DL_ in the \i386
directory on your WinXP CD.
Go to Start | Run and type this command:

expand x:\i386\CSAPI3T1.DL_ C:\CSAPI3T1.DLL

Where X: is your CD drive. Then move it from the root
directory of C: to
the PROOF folder. Some people also have to put it in the
Outlook Express
program folder.
