Out going mail

My wimdows mail has suddenly decided it will not send email, I can recieve
emails ok but when I try to send one the server connection times out after 60
seconds and faults out.
Any ideas?

Hi Bill

if you are with BT change your outgoing mail from 25 to 587.

If you are not with BT sit back and I am sure someone will be kind enough to
post.

Thanks to JP & YR the following solved it for me:

go to email TOOLS
click on ACCOUNTS
on every one of your accounts do the following:

Click on one account
click on PROPERTIES on the right hand side

In the new window click on the ADVANCED Tab
In the "Outgoing mail (SMTP): window change the figure 25 to 587
Click on OK

When all accounts have been done., you should have recovered from this silly
problem.

If BT is your ISP you'll have to wait for them to fix their servers.

If it is not BT who is it, and what Anti virus are you using?
