Oulook Calendaring reminder error on reoccuring meetings

I'm receiving the following error intermittently when I schedule reoccuring meetings --Error "The reminder for an reoccurrence cannot be set to appear before the previous occurrence, shorten the reminder time or lengthen the reoccurrence period...". I'm not clear on why. Any ideas?

When you create a "recurring appointment" try using
the order below:

Open a blank appointment.
Click on the "Recurring" icon BEFORE you try to
set any times or dates.
Then fill out the information on that window.
When you close that window, you can add your
subject and other information. (Your time and
date should be completed correctly from the
previous window.)

I tried your solution and it didn't work, but I also didn't give you all the information. These are all day events, and it seems that if I schedule 2 consecutive days and request a reminder the 2nd days reminder is overlapping the first days event, and that seems to be generating the error. Does this sound right to you?
