in a while. Your right we might click on Defender Announcements and the link

your help.
Take care Engel, i'm sure i'll be reading your posts in other ways for

WD Support still points here for NNTP, and I have not heard otherwise.

_Bowing to the tip of the hat from Engel_

There are countless others behind the scenes at MS and all the other security firms that
provide products and news, free and otherwise, without them you would not be able
to surf the Internet as safely as you do today.

Hey Ron,

Right, that was a wild ride, I remember posting for the first time was a lot
like having sex for the first time. You're excited but you don't really know
what the hell you're doing. And some way, one way or another, it's over too
fast.

Those are the memories from January 2005, by October when I sign MSN was
when the names became more normal and significants, and I start to learn from
many of them, also to know people like you. Well, is good to recall with
those names the good times, and the good people. Is been a long way, thanks
to all for the memories.

Well Ron, I hope you , your mother and sister are all well, take care, and
God bless you.

Say It Ain't So !

I would have thought that you Engel would have been the last one to post
before the groups were shut down [ well, actually Robin, but I'll let that
pass :p ]

I am of course assuming that you are referring to the possible shut down of
this group and not to something happening in your own life. If the latter, I
hope all goes well with/for you.

Your list of names brings back a lot of memories back to the Beta days, it
kinda give me a lump in my throat and a tear in the eye.

All the Best to You,
and EveryOne else as well

?:)

And my thanks to you, Engel, and to all those you've listed and any you may
have missed. I still lurk here out of appreciation for the community and the
OT subjects even though I no longer run WD. ;-)

Thank you again,

Thank You for wishing me and my family well and yours of course. Switching
from XP to Vista i traveled to many other newsgroups but they were only to
read about others how they handled fixxing problems with their computers,
this group was just a little more personal and thats another reason why i
stayed so long. If this group does go - The best Tim. Ron

I still call in here too, though less often, and usually I don't have
anything meaningful to say. But you guys made a huge difference to me when I
was trying to find my way around the antimalware minefield. To say you
taught me all I know would be to do you all a disservice, because even now I
don't know very much! But you made a big difference at a time when I was a
sheep among wolves.

So thanks to you all - too many to name without forgetting some, and some
people no longer around, I think: Engel, Tim, Bill, Dave M, Randy, Robin,
Bitman, Anonymous Bob, Stu, Ron - and if I've missed some names, that only
signifies that I haven't been around much lately and have rusted up a bit.
It doesn't mean I'm not appreciative.

Go safely, good people, and thanks.

Alan D

Well, I'm clicking on Reply and hope this does go through.

It's been great knowing -- and 'talking to' -- so many of you here over the
years.

Perhaps there will be a time when we all can come together again in our own
little Web-based Forum.

Health and happiness to all.

Alan
