[OT] News group pointer wanted

With tens of thousands of groups and many not being what they say they
are, I ask if anyone knows a good news group to discuss the technicalities
of various video wrappers, their codecs and file and header (or footer)
structures.

You could try posting a question at
rec.video.desktop

But as Paul alluded to, it may not have the participation level you need.
