[OT] Missing posts

I've not received any posts from any newsgroup for two days. Someone in
another group reported the same problem, and as we both belong to TiscaliUK
it would appear to be a problem with their newsserver. This post is to test
whether any other AFC members with TiscaliUK (or any other ISP) have had/are
having problems.

Colin: Thanks for the confirmation. There is/was a thread about this in
uk.rec.gardening. The same thing happened some time ago. No mention of any
problems on their website! <quote> All aspects of the Tiscali Internet
Service are operational. No faults have been reported. </quote>. BTW, if you
are on broadband check your account.
The 1MB unlimited is supposed to have been reduced to from £24.99 p.m. to
£14.99 p.m. It's been altered on my account page, but they are still
charging the old rate by direct debit.

"I confirm that all our services are operational and no faults have
been reported.

The news server was still not working this morning but the service
appears to have been restored this afternoon.

Colin: Just to confirm that the that the news service from Tiscali was
restored yesterday (Oct 28th). I received about 500 back posts that had
accumulated. As on a previous occasion, no mention of the problem on their
website, and no apology or explanation!

During the hiatus, I've been getting acf and other newsgroups from
dp-news.maxwell.syr.edu -- but they do not allow posting.
