OT - Microsoft using Linux..... HUH?

I don't understand why Microsoft couldn't use MIRRORING services of Akamai? I think Akamai take care of it's clients desire to choose the OS for it own platform.

Microsoft use Akamai from a long time ago no from august to maintain DDoS attack to their servers. I think they not (only?) choose this solution for stability or security reasons but because they can't (or do not want to, it's not their businness) maintain windowsupdate.microsoft.com mirror near all their clients, in others words anywhere in the world!!!

DDoS attack put in light Microsoft choice to serve windowsupdate.microsoft.com, no more! Good advice for Akamai!!!!
