all avi's ?
anyway, it should depend on codecs.
to let irfan see the canon camera avi's, i had to installed a mcjpg30 codec.
and for divx's, xvid's a.s.o., you can search for
k-lite codec pack, or nimo codecs (i had trouble with the latter, though)

I've never found a codec that works on avi's taken through my Fujii always have irfan's all-plugins installed, but without the mcipg30 it
couldnt show the canon avi's.

Finepix camera - only seems to work using Quicktime ( Pfftt! ), and
the Quicktime plugin for Irfanview just locks up.
I did find, however, a fantastic app called VirtualDub
http://www.virtualdub.org/
which plays them with no problem - and does a hell of a lot more!
Regards,
Thanks gents I'll try all that.gspot could help you in finding the right codec, and possibly in finding a
download site too.
rel. 2.21 is included in the klite pack, or download it from
http://www.headbands.com/gspot/download.html
great program, like vdub. compressing the camera avi's with vdub shrinks
from 30 to 4-6 mb..
