This is a little off topic, as it doesn't have to do with Win 2K directly...

I was experimenting with my task bar, as to how it behaved differently
whenever
I checked or unchecked the AUto hide feature. When the task bar was set to
not autohide I open IE. It opened full screen, reserving space for the task
bar
that was always present. I decided to leave it on Auto hide, but now every
time
that I open IE it opens full screen, but it contiues to reserve a space for
the task
bar. To make it full screen I always have to click on the maximize button.

Is there any way to "tell" IE to not reserve space for the taskbar anymore?
Thanks for any recommnedations and for you time!

I am left speechless...

I have been struggling with this for about a month. I have always
been maximizing the IE window and it always loads reserving space
for the task bar. Today I read you reply, closed all the maximized EI
windows and opened one again and it loaded full screen!

Thank you for your reply.. it was more helpful than I even imagined,
as it made me go through the methodis steps of making sure that all
the EI windows were maximized before I closed them. My guess is
that while I maximized most of them, there probably was one lurking
somewhere that had the smaller size.

Best regards,

I am revisiting this issue. When I booted my PC this morning, and
opened IE, it did it again! It reserved space for the task bar!!!

Any feedback on this issue is greatly appreciated!

the space
It doesn't. Am unable to duplicate your problem. IE reopens
at the LAST closed size. However, if you're opening it
from the normal IE icon, which doesn't have the usual
*properties*, but rather *internet properties*. Then just create
a new shortcut and select maximized.

Thanks again... I'll have a look.
