Firefox ---> page info-----> media will only save a 91ko swf, which
is obviously not the original video; Is there anyway to save this
funny video ?

yes:
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2390/
(videodownloader)
If it doesn't work on the spiegel-site go to http://www.youtube.com und
search for "wrong guy" or "BBC kewney".

You can view the file with VLC or convert it to divx (or whatever) with
SUPER.

Thanks Eric, but this extension does not work on my firefox, maybe
i should upgrade (1.07), but the page says it should work. However,
i see no additional button anywhere once i install the extension.

Protecting such a film has no sens btw...

This file will be in your Temporary Internet Files folder, as
11494_420x315_VP6_576[1].flv. The size is 4464kB. You can save this
file.

I thought that VLC Player could play this type of file. However, I have
just tried it, and I find that it does not.

You could try FLV Player at www.snapfiles.com/get/flvplayer.html.

Just a follow-up...
I have downloaded FLC Player, and yes, it works OK.

Sorry, i really can't find this file ! no .flv anywhere of my PC.
searched with locate32 and with locate for Dos, even with
F3 -windows explorer search; looked in IE temp folder and in
firefox cache (the firefox cache is a master piece of crippled
data !) No file exceed 2 Mb in the cache....

laurent

Best way to find the file: clear you internet cache, go directly to the
video, navigate to your temporary internet files folder and there should be
only a few files, largest of them the movie.

It appears in the status bar. Upgrading might be a good idea anyway.

I must be overlooking something, as I don't see a download url.

nFLV, from snapfiles do the job. Better as FLV player which doesn't
do the job, maybe too simple (as the author claims it to be).

Then there is an FLV riva encoder on snapfiles.

snapfiles is very good :)
